Objectives

The overall objective of the AT@Work network is to help reduce the proportion of people without access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation, in accordance with the Millennium Development Goals.

Specifically, AT@Work aims to achieve this by:

• Initiating, structuring and supporting feasibility studies and demonstration projects;
• Promoting sustainable practices in order to secure long-term market acceptance and use;
• Transferring knowledge on all aspects of the market introduction of appropriate water and sanitation technologies.
