AIDEnvironment
Improving your sustainability performance
AIDEnvironment advises businesses and organizations that want to incorporate economic, ecological and social aspects into their policies, and have the ambition to make a tangible, significant and transparent contribution to sustainable development (in practice, sustainable enterprise).
We help our clients to realise their ambitions by supporting strategy and policy development, strengthening their organizational skills and designing and implementing development and field programs. Research and knowledge transfer are integral to our working methods.
We provide specific expertise on the ecological aspects of sustainable development (‘the environment’): wise and fair use of natural resources, protection of biodiversity conservation areas and reduction of environmental pollution. We focus our efforts on water systems (freshwater and marine resources), forests and large-scale agriculture (e.g. soy, palm oil and timber). In addition, we coordinate and supply the required expertise in the broader fields of biodiversity and climate change.
AIDEnvironment manages and hosts the Rainwater Harvesting Implementation Network, in short the RAIN Foundation. RAIN focuses on increasing the acceptance and usage of rainwater harvesting as a viable water source in developing countries. Currently, RAIN is active in Ethiopia, Nepal and three West African countries: Senegal, Burkina Faso and Mali.
In addition AIDEnvironment hosts the secretariat of the AT@Work network.
