AQUAATIS
AQUAATIS has embarked on the support of technological interventions applying practical, user-centred methods, together with a multistakeholder approach, through a triple focus on:
1. Technology: Screening the proposed AT for its potential for user and market. What makes a technol;ogy the best option?
2. Context: Searching for the right match between AT and users in their living environment. When is the best option appropriate for the real user?
3. Implementation: Preparing for an effective programme delivery and long-term sustainability. How can an appropriate technology best be introduced?
The core activities of AQUAATIS are geared to the needs of the stakeholders in the North and South, with strong involvement of the end users, and include:
- Consultancy, both managerial and technological, including production
- Training and curriculum development
- Workshops, brainstorming sessions and lectures, for donors, implementers and users
- Promotion anmd advocacy of AT at national and international forums
