At the ceremony Dutch Development Minister Koenders said that he was aware from recent UN university publications that water and sanitation may well be the most effective way of reducing poverty. He was glad that Appropriate Technology was making a comeback. This could be a timely moment for members of the AT platform to show what the modern ATs are capable of.
